Job Description


Understand and apply wide professional knowledge experience, expertise and wisdom to all planning and scheduling aspects of a project.

Identifying, monitoring and managing key issues and relationships at all phases of the lifecycle;

Knowledge of cost estimating, cost control and their interaction with planning and scheduling;

Demonstrate knowledge of risk management processes, opportunities and threats, probability and uncertainty, risk drivers, and risk management planning.

Planning and implementing the project schedule using strategies, systems, processes, tool and resources.

Developing overall project schedules, using planning methodology that meets clients requirements;

Communicating a clear plan for the development of the project schedule; eliciting information for stakeholders; communicating with project teams; ensuring accuracy of messaging, all in alignment with the goals of the project

Applying objective decision making, problem solving and sound judgement to solve project planning issues;

Understanding the concept of the integrated overall project schedule and how that relates to the preparation of all project schedules;

Understand the basic requirements for the development of a project schedule, such as labour rates and productivities with respect to time, equipment and materials quantities from the capital estimate, scope of work and specifications, drawings and other technical documents;

Ability to liaise with, evaluate the performance of, and understand and critically review the schedules prepared by third parties and recommend courses of action;

Ability to conduct planning and scheduling meetings and draw out the relevant updates from various project disciplines to develop schedule forecasts

Understanding contracting types and structure; ability to develop cost forecast by contract package, including leading and participating in contract review meeting

Evaluate and develop the contingency amounts for the schedule and manage schedule contingency drawdown.

Present the schedule reports in a standard format and be able to describe all aspects.
