Job Description

Project Manager, Investment Research (9 - 12 Years of Experience)- Should have 9-12 years of experience in the field of investment research- Should be an expert in Equity Research (Initiating Coverage).
Should also be well conversant and comfortable in the following :- Quarterly updates of stocks / companies- Event driven reports- Sector analysis and study- Thematic studies - Macro Themes- Economic analysis- Should have a flair and excellent analytical ability in interpreting financial statements Should be an expert in the following:- Financial and ratio analysis- Financial and business modelling (that includes but not limited to)- Financial model- Financial forecast- Scenario analysis- Cash flow switch- Multiple toggles- Sensitivity analysis Valuation methodologies :- DCF, SOTP, IRR (both Project and Equity), Transaction Comparables, GPC Comparables, Weighted Average Valuation and Valuation Sensitivity- Should be well comfortable in conducting Company Analysis - profiling, tear sheets and earnings analysis- Should also be aware of Portfolio Analysis Should have an excellent understanding in Fixed Income :- Debt Capital Market- Debt Advisory- Institutional Research- Models- Credit Notes- Debt Analysis- Bond Portfolio Analysis Should be expert and well conversant in the following :- Feasibility Studies- Business Plan- Market Study- Market overview- Market structure- Market dynamics and drivers- Value chain analysis- Players and incumbents position in each stage of the value chain- Market challenges / risks- Market sizing and assessment- Gap Analysis and Opportunity Assessment- Competitor Mapping & Intelligence Should have hands on experience and expert in the Investment Banking and Corporate Advisory space that would include :Deal Origination :- Screening of potential targets- Profiling of potential targets- Assessing of investment opportunities- Company analysis Deal Evaluation :- Assumption and forecasting validation- Modelling and valuation- Fairness / Transaction opinion- Due Diligence - Commercial Due Diligence and Business Due Diligence Fund Raising :- Pitch-book presentation- Investor presentation- Investor teaser documents- Information memorandum (IM)- Private placement memorandum (PPM)- Investment brochure- Tear sheets Good to have knowledge in Economic Research :- Economic themes- Economic updates- Concept paper- Building databases - economies and economic indicators Should have expert level knowledge in working with databases :- Bloomberg- Thomson Reuters- Thomson One Analytics- Thomson One Banker- Capital IQ- Merger Market- Deal Logic- Factiva- One Source Other skill sets that the candidate should necessarily possess includes :- Should have the ability to manage P&L responsibility of the team- Should be excellent in multitasking- Should be very good in team handling - must exhibit excellent leadership qualities, team mentoring and coaching- Should ensure that the team morale is always high- Should be able to manage attrition- Should be able to do succession planning- Should provide timely and corrective feedback to the team on a periodical basis- Should promptly set the KRAs of the team, and measure their performance against the KRAs- Should have the capability to prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documents- Maintain productivity tracker and report the MIS to the business head on a weekly basis- Ensure that the team capacity is fully utilized- Should have a flair to drive revenues and manage costs- Should be highly energetic and motivated to take additional projects in order to drive team revenues- Should continuously innovate and think out of the box to bring in efficiency and process improvement- Should have the ability to execute multiple projects with least or no supervision- Should possess excellent primary research and secondary research (desk research) skills- Should be able to conduct field interviews and face-to-face interviews with stakeholders of the projects as and when required Client Handling Abilities - Should be good in the following :- Client communication- Handling client queries with fast TAT- Understanding the client expectations in project deliveries- Always strive to exceed client expectations in terms of the quality and timeliness of the deliverables. Business Development - Should be good in the following :- Should assist in BD initiatives - creating case studies, samples, white paper and knowledge management- Should participate in BD process - going on the scoping call with the sales team, understanding the project requirement, do the scoping of the project work and share the call summary along with the scoping document with the client- Should be able to write proposals - project objective, scope of work, approach methodology, engagement structure, timelines and commercials Training and Development : Should work with the business head and the training & OD team in devising a robust training plan for the team, and continuously monitor and measure the effectiveness of the program; should also come up with suggestions and innovations of the training program on a periodical basis- Must be a fast learner and a team player- Should be a self-starter with a go-getter attitude
