Job Description

Operational Risk - Electronic Trading Governance and Control

Electronic Trading Control Risk Assessment (ECRA) Rollout Assistance :

Assist CB&S business lines in the completion of ECRA including but not limited to :

- PMO duties associated with planning, coordinating and running - peer review- meetings for completed ECRA self-assessments

- Preparing forward looking schedules of peer review meetings

- Maintaining the ECRA rollout project plan

- Documentation of minutes and actions from Peer Reviews

- Following up business lines with overdue actions

- Performing sanity checks over completed ECRA self-assessments

- Preparing project status reports of planned vs. actual progress completion and any additional ad-hoc reporting as required

- Assisting business lines with questions and queries in ECRA completion

- Administration of the CB&S Electronic Trading Governance SharePoint site

- Preparation of License to Operate meeting packs

In addition to the primary duties above, the successful candidate will also assist the team in helping run Business as Usual (BAU) activities associated with the CB&S Electronic Trading Controls Monitoring Team (ECMT) as follows:

Control :

- Identification, assessment and reporting of Electronic Trading activity proposals against the Electronic Trading Controls Risk Assessment (ECRA) Framework and present findings to management and governance bodies for decision making

- Identification, assessment and reporting of ECRA gaps including proposal for remediation or risk acceptance and presenting findings to management and governance bodies for decision making

- Identification, assessment and reporting of Risk Acceptance requests in accordance with Group Methodology and presenting findings to management and governance bodies for decision making

- Periodic performance of independent sample testing to verify implementation of controls and reporting findings to management and governance bodies

Monitoring :

Periodic monitoring of Electronic Trading activity against the ECRA including status of :

- Control gaps and remediation commitments

- Overdue controls gaps including appropriate escalation to management and governance bodies where long-overdue

- Control gap target date extension requests including review and assessment

- Risk accepted control gaps including assessment of current validity

Reporting :

- Preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, action tracking and co-coordinating logistics for the governance bodies (Electronic Trading Oversight Committee (ETOC) and Electronic Trading Monitoring Team (ECMT) forums)

- Periodic reporting of Electronic Trading activity compliance against the ECRA

- Periodic reporting of the Electronic Trading activity portfolio including trend analysis of emerging themes and risks to pro-actively manage risk

- Ad-Hoc reporting review and assessment of reported incidents related to Electronic Trading activity

Inventory Management :

- Ad-hoc maintenance of the Electronic Trading inventory to ensure information is current

- Management of the pipeline of new proposals or changes to existing Electronic Trading Activity

Education, Awareness and Training :

- Support CB&S Front Office personnel by briefing them on the governance and control framework and supporting them through the process as needed

- Development and delivery of training materials to raise awareness and educate the business on the Electronic Trading governance risk and control

Ad-hoc :

- Support any ad-hoc information requests and reporting requirements from the governance bodies or CB&S Senior Management

- Support ad-hoc investigations, risk assessments and initiatives related to the electronic trading governance and control framework

- Support management and governance bodies in responding to regulatory enquiries

- Review of firm wide incidents and deep dive said instances while relating to the control framework

- Conduct or help manage assessments of Trading Venues where the firm operates
