Job Description

Deputy Manager - General Accounting

This position requires the candidate to have a good understanding of General Ledger close process with strong accounting background. He/She need to support Business Segments during month/quarter close activities, preparing and posting journal entries, extracting reports for analysis etc .should be in a position to support Revenue, Claims, Premium tax, SG&A, Accruals, Commission and Cash process. Post General ledger close should work on Blackline reconciliation tool, reconcile General Ledger balances with valid supporting documentation. Identify any discrepiences, provide corrective action plan to resolve open items.

Job Components:

Collect, summarize and prepare schedule/backup for month close journals
Create and record various intercompany transactions/charge allocations
Prepare, review and approve financial statements and disclosures
Perform financial statement variance analysis and explanation (actuals vs. forecast, period-over-period actuals)
Reconcile sub-ledger accounts
Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
Ensure compliance with applicable policies, contracts and regulations
Preparing Monthly and Quarterly account reconciliations of Balance sheet accounts
Monitor and resolve open items in account reconciliations
Assisting with account analysis
Assist with MonthQuarter Year end close
Assist with implementing and maintain internal controls and procedure
Reviews account reconciliations and suggest corrective measure
Ability to connect to with SME onsite and do remote knowledge transfer
Support improvement Projects/ initatives
