A software QA engineer (ERP) is responsible for software design, writing source code, control of source code, reviewing code, configuration management, change management, program testing, integration of the software, and release management process. The purpose of this position is to provide quality solutions to functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility for coding problems that not only fixes the problem but doesn't affect the overall purpose of the application. The ability of the QA engineer to think outside the box is crucial to the job.
Preparation and execution of Functional test plan and test cases
Hands on knowledge in Baan IV or any ERP application
Backend database testing in Oracle, SQL server environment including validating stored procs, jobs and triggers.
Experience using any one of the automation tools with scripting experience
Develop, document and maintain functional/Technical test cases and Trace-ability Matrix
Execute functional and regression test suites for ERP (BAAN) applications
Analyze, monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
Ensure validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
Bachelors Degree in computer science or Information technology with 8+ years of relevant QA technical experience.
Minimum 5 years of working with ERP systems
Minimum 5 years in database testing in Oracle, SQL servers including extracting and manipulating test data, validating stored procs, jobs, triggers and replication.
Ability to lead, understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.
Techno functional experience in ERP domain Applications (Distribution, Finance, and manufacturing)
Confident in writing and reading SQL intermediate to complex queries
Experience in working with a graphical SQL tool (toad, pl/sql developer)
Proficient in writing complex SQL queries to perform data driven tests and involved in front-end and back-end testing
Experience in creation, Execution and Maintenance of Test requirements, Test cases, Reporting defects
