Job Description

This role will be a senior individual with experience providing strategic direction with regard to the enterprise architecture as well as incorporating best practices. This individual would be required to partner heavily with business partners as well as work with other external vendors in place to help drive solutions.
The redesign/architecture responsibilities will be a big piece of the overall role
Provision of a first class Hyperion Support Service

Managing customers expectations at all times and ensuring platforms are available and fit for purpose when our customers need them.
Manage a team of appointed staff who are responsible for the support of relevant Platforms ensuring information availability and quality.
Daily management of the operational application delierables.
Provision of a robust Route to Production Framework for all Enhancements and Developments
Provision of an e2e Incident Management Framework including the management of the Customer impact where outputs are delayed or impaired.
Manage the final delivery of outputs.
Management of a 'current' Operating Model for support and development in line with a changing business environment.
Drive the strategic development of all platforms supported.
Positive contribution to and operation of an extended team model.

Experience with multiple products in the Oracle Hyperion product family (HFM, OBIEE)
Hyperion Certified Professional
MBA/ Bachelors Degree in Accounting /Commerce - Previous Finance or accounting experience Financial Systems environment
Advanced MS Excel skills
Previous Finance or accounting experience Financial Systems environment
Relational database experience
A sound working knowledge of how data is used within a financial organisation both operationally and for reporting and analysis.
A proven data control / reference data background with relevant experience.
Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to present complex problems in a simple way

Scope of Role:

Work with cross-functional/departments teams to gather complex business requirements and turn into practical planning, reporting analytical solutions
Effective in full life cycle development of - Hyperion Planning or Essbase solutions; Including system requirements; design, build, and implementation and documentation
Troubleshoot and optimization of applications.
Build effective and sustainable client relationships
Developer level knowledge of data integration tools such as ODI and FDM
Experience with Oracle Hyperion reporting tools Financial Reporting and SmartView
Sound understanding of corporate finance processes and technology including knowledge of key corporate operational systems (ERP, GL, Data Warehouse, etc.)
Experience Oracle Hyperion Product family/projects involving multiple tools such as Essbase, Hyperion Planning, DRM, FDM, HFM,OBIEE in an on-site / off-shore mode
Experience with structured project management implementation process
Bring consulting approach and problem-solving experience to the field.
Lead and conduct discovery sessions/interviews/workshops to define business requirements and scope.
Conduct and Document Fit/gap analysis between delivered functionality in Hyperion and actual requirements.
Identify workarounds/solutions for gaps in Hyperion PSPB product.
Provide subject matter expertise in Oracle Hyperion Planning and Hyperion PSPB Product.
Able to configure the system to meet the desired business process requirements.
Develop testing scenarios, test scripts and leading teams in unit, integration and acceptance testing.
You should be comfortable developing and implementing new business requirements relating to processes, system functionality and procedures of the platform supported. In addition you should have the ability to challenge current processes and outputs to increase the customer service offering and internal efficiency.
Work with Solution Architects and Project Managers to define right solution for the problem at hand.
Complex reconciliation of financial data from Oracle/HFM and other financial/reporting systems and solutions to non reconciled financials.
Exposure and extensive work experience in multivariate analysis, causal analysis, predictive modelling, forecasting, and segmentation

Other Significant Role Requirements:

Responsible for managing the operational maintenance and support of Hyperion used across the Finance Community for all Management, Statutory and Regulatory Financial Reporting.
Responsible for agreeing new and maintaining existing SLA's from a business and group technology perspective for Hyperion HFM, Hyperion Planning.
Responsible for identification and implementation of new processes to standardise, simplify, automate processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency across area.
Responsible for Risk Management of systems / data / process decisions in relation to new systems / processes or enhancement of existing systems / processes.
Effective management of a team of resources
Experience in Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with client and supplier base, at a senior level, both externally and internally in the group and divisions, while providing a professional service.
Drive the strategic agenda for data within areas of responsibility.
Provide input to and advice on Business Strategy.
