Job Description

Head of Operations is responsible for providing overall strategic planning, business policy execution and control for multiple locations and multiple businesses (in the travel Retail sector). Drive regional financial and operational goals for all F&B operations across the travel retail sector where the organization has interests in. The Head of Operations has full P&L responsibility and is the functional leader of F&B operations.

- Work directly with the Regional Operations Heads and Regional Finance Heads to establish regional long-term and short-term operational, revenue and financial goals as per P&L.

- Deliver strong operational performance by providing vision and clarity, and ensuring disciplined execution of organizational standards.

- Devise plans and tactical support for regions and other direct and indirect reports to achieve P&L goals.

- Lead the budget and forecast process for business segments (Airports, Railways, Highways, Ports etc) from an operational perspective to ensure efficient operations (quality and service) and optimum profitability.

- Drive succession-planning strategies across regions and be the single point contact for driving operational & regional best practices.

- Define critical training and development needs and partner with Training and Regional Operational Teams to execute key recruitment, training, and development programs.

- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with brands and also government bodies, associations, certification bodies, airport/railways teams etc (like airports, AAI, Railways, IRCTC, NHAI, FSSAI etc)

- Spearhead optimal controls and safeguards in fiscally challenged businesses/locations.

- Lead the new store opening team and assist operational personnel in planning to drive optimal performance on all new business start-ups. Create and deploy SOP's across all locations thereby strengthening operations.

- Establish and maintain effective customer feedback mechanisms, rapport, and customer-focused innovation.

- Ensure all F&B related compliance across business operations.
