Job Description

VP/AVP – Finance & Accounts
o S/He would be responsible for developing strategic plans for future growth of the organization. Role will be responsible for formulation & implementation of corporate financial strategies.
o Provide critical financial and operational information
o Manage Investor Relationships & Raise Funding
o Oversee the development of annual operating plan and manage costs in alignment with company's mission.
o Provide necessary support to the top management in situations of potential acquisitions, and collaborations with external organizations.
o Lead Budget and forecasting process at corporate level. Support Operations planning with accurate financial forecasting.
o Will play an active role in the budgeting and planning function. Formulate and evaluate all financial planning activities / processes including operating and strategic plans forecasts.
o Develop and execute analysis of various business initiatives
o Analysis and assessment of capital required over the plan period and arranging finance
o Develop and maintain accurate and effective financial statements.
o Coordinate and oversee internal and external audit procedures.
o Provide efficient and effective accounting systems.
o Ensure the financial integrity of the company and be fully accountable for the accuracy of the company's financial statements.
o Timely reporting of various financial and other business related information that forecasts the company business activity as required by financial regulation both internally and externally.
o Responsible for delivering the budgeted key performance indicators of Operating Income, Return on Net Assets and Operating cash flow for the organisation
o Support the Business managers to translate the strategic plans into actions and ensure progress and follow up
o Lead financial analysis and structuring for planned acquisitions/divestments for the Company as and when need arises.
o Ensure adherence to all the Group standards (finance, tax & compliance) for Organisation.
o Engage with Board of directors at strategic, tactical and operational level to drive the overall direction of organisaton keeping the interest of all stakeholders (majority and minority)
o Engage with all External stakeholders like Investor community, Registrar of Companies, Securities Exchange Board of India, Stock exchanges, Statutory and Internal Auditors and ensure that interest of AkzoNobel in India is well represented and maintained.
o S/He will be required to develop and create broader governance and manage the Compliance and Regulatory issues.
o Lead Finance team and work proactively to develop their skills and knowledge and improve workplace engagement.
o Establish appropriate control standards for compliance to all the statutory requirements including listing requirements for and oversee processes for managing Corporate Finance, namely, Capital Structure, Treasury and Banking, Taxation, Secretarial and Shareholder Affairs as while providing leadership to the Corporate functions

Qualification And Experience:
1. Chartered Accountant, with around 18-22 years of progressive experience, of which at least last few years as Head of Finance and should have handled multiple locations and entities (including those abroad) and be effective in control over finances, cost, MIS
2. Should have thorough knowledge of sound financial planning, fundraising . corporate governance and compliance
3. Strong Fund sourcing capabilities with proven experience
4. Experience of working with an ERP essential.
5. Focus on driving for transparency and results.
6. Highly Analytical, Creative Thinker with the proven track record in financial skills.
7. Should have Strong leadership skills, with an entrepreneurial can-do attitude.
