Job Description

- To lead the Manufacturing Unit, building synergy between various functions in the Unit to deliver Unit objectives. - Monitor & ensure that productions are done as per planned volumes, norms & quality all the time, by way of daily interactions, on-site inspections and collating daily/monthly qrtrly/yearly reports, to ensure that targets are achieved. - To develop and implement strategies to meet both short and long term goals of the Unit. - To play pivotal role in the processes of career management, leadership development and learning of all employees, in order to aid better performances. - Monitor & ensure that all required resources (raw materials, packing materials, Engineering, spares, manpower, funds, etc.) are available, by way daily reporting, site visits, discussion with respective departments and monthly status reports, ton ensure that production & despatch activity goes smoothly as per plan. - Interact with the corporate persons on matters of capex clearances, approvals for deviations (if any), status of procurement of raw materials, and implementation of planned activities - To interact and manage - local- environment in order to safeguard Company's interests. - To provide strategic leadership and lead culture building at the Unit - To formulate unit strategies and objectives - To guide the Unit so as to ensure Units performance delivers set unit objectives - To ensure adherence and compliance to all statutory requirements - To monitor systems and procedures in the various functions of the Unit so as to ensure smooth, safe, efficient and effective operations - To identify and implement training and developmental needs of managers in the Unit to enable better performance in the current and changing scenario - To identify and nurture potential amongst people in the Unit - To plan and implement strategy pertaining to IR and collective bargaining/negotiation - To ensure amicable and healthy relationship with the external stakeholders - To ensure harmonious relations with the union - To ensure a healthy professional/personal balance of the unit team smoothly - Development and modification required to improve the production and to achieve highest safety standards, - Ensuring proper utilization of raw material, machinery, with optimum manpower - Coordination with maintenance department to overcome problems of break downs and to ensure 100% availability of machine. - Coordination with QC department t o ensure production of quality sheets as per requirements, by way of implementing corrective actions. - Ensure quality product and minimize scrap or wastage. (The gross rejection should be within 1.5%Achieving production targets as decided by the management with appropriate gain. - Responsible for department shift administration. - Responsible for creation of safe work culture. - Training of workmen and staff on production and safety activities. Proper and up to date maintenance of production related records. - Submission of production related document /reports to HO in time . Desired Candidate Profile: Qualification And Experience: 1. BE Chemical with Minimum 18 years of hands on experience of handling production unit and all other functions and should have experience in Continuous process plant 2. As Factory Manager, meeting all the statutory requirements of law/regulations, liaison with Statutory Authorities, Factory Inspectorate, GPCB, 3. Should have a mix knowledge of technical and managerial skill. 4. Should drive debottlenecking/ capacity improvement initiative in plant to improve plant efficiency. 5. Should be responsible for improving plant OPE. 6. Preferably handling more than one plant.
