The Dealer on the Precious Metals Desk is responsible for offering precious metals physical and hedging products and solutions to the defined customer segments of the bank.

Managing Gold Monetization Scheme in terms of cost of mobilization, deployment and replenishment.
Achieve the budgeted Revenue
Achieve the budgeted Revenue and Volume target at the customer and segment level for the customers allocated.
Increase Wallet share of the customers allocated
Maximize revenue from by capturing opportunities on customer flows in terms of pricing, orders ,Gold forward /USD INR rollbacks and rollover.
Managing treasury stock, thus augmenting revenue
Risk Management and Risk mitigation
Effectively Manage price risk when quoting to customers.
Evaluate the Reputational and Legal Risk for the Bank on product offerings to customers in line with suitability and appropriateness policy.
Internal Processes & Regulatory Compliance/Relationship Management external and internal
Ensure fulfillment of all transactions in the given TAT, with zero error, while adhering to the process and policies of the Bank.
Hedging of all positions arising out of the transactions covered
Capturing all transactions in all the front office systems of the bank as per the policy
Ensure compliance with all internal / external guidelines, well versed with all guidelines pertaining to the Desk, ensure compliance with all the risk / credit limits pertaining to the desk activities.
Direct coverage of customers more at the operating level of the customer.
Build relationships at the relevant levels of the customers and leverage the relationships for enhanced business. The customers allocated to this role would be mostly simple customers with more transactional requirement.
Build relationships with overseas Bullion Banks and Suppliers.
Manage the internal stake holders, viz. relationship managers in various Business groups, Operations, etc. other units of treasury to achieve the objectives.
Aptitude and attitude to financial markets. Typically a Post Graduate/MBA in Finance, CA.
Proprietary trading abilities
Treasury product knowledge, including knowledge about pricing. Adequate knowledge of markets, with ability to interpret these data and use it for business opportunities
