The Lead SoftwareTester Engineer is required to effectively and efficiently plan, execute, anddeliver all Testing activities as planned for the Production Support Group. The lead would also coordinate and monitor all Test Analysts assigned to the team.
The Lead Software Tester is responsible for coordinating and executing allTesting (whether automated or manual) , conducting Defect Triage andcoordinating Defect Management with the Lead Developer (in conjunction with Manager Testing and Manager Development) including the reporting there of.
The lead also plays a pivotal role in bridging communication between BAs, Software Developers and Test Developers.
Supervise Software testers and assign tasks as directed by the Manager testing. Provide Daily Status Quo, in the daily team stand- up. Coordinate activities of Test Analysts within the Production Support Team.
Verification and review of Business Specifications, Functional Specifications and Non- Functional Specifications as part of Test Planning and Test Scenario preparation Created raft Trace ability matrix for review by Manager, Testing and Production Support Manager Execute all Testing as required e.g. Unit, Functional, Systems Integration, User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing (whether automated or manual) Ensuretimely notification of Issues / Risks and make recommendations for mitigation andresolution to support team Resolveand / or escalate testing issues where required Log andtrack all queries and clarification requests raised by the Test Team Assist Manager Testing in preparation of Test Closure and End Stage reports Train andmentor Test Team members as a required Participatein Support planning and development sessions as directed by PSM Evaluatethe scope document to provide accurate estimates for the testing effort Mentor andcoach Software Developers, Conduct performance review for all direct reports 4times per year Ensureleave is lodge by direct reports prior to annual leave, or within 24 hours ofreturn to office after sick leave Key PerformanceMeasures Including but notlimited to: Effective supervision of Test Analysts Percentageof automated test cases used per request (% to be determined) Contributionto Test Plan and Strategy Time Managementin relation to Test Plan Accuracy of Test Estimations Quality of Test Scenario planning (Accuracy and efficiency of testing cases) Defect Identification and categorisation Test Execution Efficiency Test Resource Utilisation plans as directed Documentationof new test cases for future use and documentation of test execution on WIKI
