Technical Application Specialist for Automation and Protection is company's application and product specialist. Provide technical support to customers globally and the company technical team offering and delivering grid monitoring solutions in fault location/ fault recording/ wide area monitoring using Synchrophasor, power quality recording and event recording.
The ideal candidate will be an Industry specialist with proven track record and intense understanding of all aspects of power automation and protection in electrical/ power industry. This position will be the primary liaison with the production units, sales, technical applications specialists and engineering teams for offering, support and delivery of grid monitoring solutions for electrical utilities.
Working in conjunction with sales team as a technical advisor and product advocate, the TAS will provide reliable solutions to satisfy customer requirements. The TAS will identify technical market requirements and support Product Management and Technology Teams with technical specifications.
The TAS must also be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle as an expert of product knowledge and product application. Identify technical market needs and drive specifications for these products. Technically support products and solutions throughout the complete sales and service cycle.
Maintain expert level of product knowledge and product applications.
Provide solution and specification development support to consultants, integrators and distributors.
Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/ RFPs
Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
Perform product and product application training for employees and external consultants, distributors and users.
Assist Product Management and Technology in developing new products and product applications.
Support field service in resolving customer issues or difficulties consistent with company policy.
Report status of ongoing and future projects.
Help Identifying customers need and sales opportunities to support future business growth.
Able to travel globally to promote and close various opportunities.
Hands-on integrating/ monitoring solutions, site installation and testing.
Drive growth by translating company solutions in to various value propositions for available customer opportunities.
Must be prepared for domestic or international travel.
Strong working knowledge of Project Management, IP Networking and communications.
Team player with fluency in English and presentation skills and must be prepared for domestic/ international travel.
