Review of Process Design/PFDs/Mass & Energy Balance/Layouts/P&IDs, Model Reviews and finalization of Material Selection for Equipment, Valves and other Inline Devices.
Review of sizing calculations and development of datasheets.
Review of Process/Control Philosophies, Design Basis, Line Schedule, Hydraulics, Battery Limit Lists including line lists, equipment lists, and instrument lists etc.
Sizing of Process & utility Equipment (Boilers ,compressors, pumps, Mixers , Mill ,Dryers heat exchangers, reactors, filters, Sieving ,Extruder ,Granulator etc.)
2. Project process Design Engineering
" Ensure safety in plant design.
Conduct PHA (including HAZOP, FMEA , FTA) at the design stage itself.
Conduct PSSR for the new projects.
Preparation of hazardous area classification schedule.
Working knowledge of various International codes and standards."
3.Process Development - - Scale up New Process / Improvement of existing Process"
Conduct trial in Pilot plant & scale up process , equipment & utilities to meet project requirement .
Process design & debottlenecking of process with help of tools like Statistical Analysis ,Simulation & Modeling ,Design of experiments etc.
4.Process Development - Ideas for New & Existing Product Technology Development"
Perform an analysis of the process design & develop innovative ideas and alternatives to be cost competitive .
Transforming theoretical concepts into practical business applications that drive gains in productivity, efficiency, and profitability
5.Process Development -Assistance in Development of new products"
Understand the Product/Processes through co-ordination with R&D
Identify the Research institute/ Vendor for conducting the development work
Develop bench scale processes.
6. Process Engg for Operation Commissioning
Responsible for all Operating, Control, Safeguarding, Start-up and Shutdown Philosophies and Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Procedures.
