About Prime Services: Prime Services meets the financing and asset management needs of sophisticated Prime Services clients which are comprised primarily of Top Tier Hedge Funds. Prime Services offers a full suite of financing services to these clients across Derivatives, Futures, Stock Loan and Borrow and traditional Prime Brokerage.
About Prime Services Equity Finance : The Equity Finance business seeks to extend margin lending (long financing/leverage) and short sale facilitation (short financing) at attractive rates to our customers' positions in the Prime Margin financing (PB) market. Also provides Secured long- and short-funding for all PB-customer and firm-inventory equity positions. The EF - Cash Equity Finance IT team is responsible for development and support of the core trading application used to conduct Stock Loan business. This platform is utilized 24/6 by front office desks and middle office teams throughout the globe for stock loan trade handling.
Overall purpose of role: Role is part of Prime Finance IT organization. Meteor system is responsible for providing all Data Management, Reporting, Analytics services across all Prime business area. Purpose of the role is to own the end-to-end delivery of METEOR system components build out of Pune and to manage the delivery by vendor resources from Pune. Meteor applications provides extremely critical trading tools for Prime business as they help business in making right trading decisions to maximize profits for the firm. Meteor system also does critical MIS reporting, and regulatory reporting. This is backfill request as current role holder, Rohit Nagori, is being relocated to US (continuing to be part of same team).
Key Accountabilities and Skills required:
Key specific accountabilities.
o Development (50%) - hands-on coding of key application patterns and components as part of functional and non-functional requirements. With the sound technical background solid understanding of Prime Services - QPS domain
o Management (40%) - Has responsibility of an important proportion of team's day-to-day output and maintain reputation for reliability and producing results. This include managing small group of 2-3 vendor resources (technical and functional oversight)
o L3 support (10%) - Support monitoring and troubleshooting of both production and non- production environments; address any client/trader/user queries promptly; minimize impact to business in case of production issues
Stakeholder management and leadership
o Relationship management will be a critical competency for this role as there will be a broad and impactful range of engagement with partners in Mumbai Markets team, Run-The-Bank, QA, BA, Program Management and Prime Services Operations. Since METEOR application development is primarily being run out of Pune, role holder has overall responsibility of managing stakeholder expectations.
o Be single point of contact for METEOR application for global stakeholders during Asia hours
o Provide leadership to METEOR team in India; Set appropriate team culture to foster collaborative environment
o Collaborate with global team and provide architectural vision & leadership to build sustaining platform
o Work in collaboration with business partners to build long lasting and high quality services to our clients
o Demonstrate strong influence and conflict management skills as well as talent development and expectations management skills

o Handle production issues in matured way; provide/implement tactical solutions to minimize impact to business followed by strategic solutions
o A detailed hands-on experience of the top-to-bottom technologies of the stack or equivalent development area

o Owns the overall solution design that the team is working on.
