Develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve pre-agreed volume and value targets for the merchant acquiring business.
Define and implement the product strategy & roadmap for the merchant acquiring business. Gather and prioritize merchant/ client requirements. Develop core positioning and messaging for the product.
Define & size market segments. Analyze the merchants available in the market to identify and recommend potential targets with whom to cultivate business relationships including an assessment of proposed tie-ups with internet-based merchants (for online transactions) to build an eco-system of profitable merchant establishments, online & offline.
Develop and implement necessary processes & procedures for all merchant related activities including but not limited to KYC documentation for merchant sign-up to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, POS terminal set-up and activation including testing thereof, updating of merchant information on timely basis, processing of reconciliation, settlement, refunds, charge backs etc. and liaise to provide high standard quality service to all merchants.
Define go-to-market plan and monitor progress to promote revenue growth, drive profitability and growth of the portfolio. Ensure sales force training. Alignment of sales tools and sales processes. Develop and implement targeted merchant campaigns to create visibility and increase acceptance of Our payments options.
Monitor merchant transactions/ volume, compile relevant MIS reports and formulate appropriate merchant retention strategies to minimize attrition.
