Service Ops Expert - Change | Microland DO WHAT YOU LOVE Service - ops - expert - change Service Ops Expert - Change Essential Functions of the Job: Provide an up - front coordination support of environment decommission for projects regardless of locations Interact with implementing groups to carry out tasks required to retire servers and other infrastructure components Process improvement , identify loopholes in the process and provide improvements which prevent false Incidents from being generated Provide regular status update reporting to different level of management and team Manage the changes through their lifecycle on behalf of IT services Analyze and assess RFCs to ensure readiness for implementation Responsible for ensuring that the necessary approvals are in place Support the ongoing operations by raising the change requests and managing them Engage operations team to complete the tasks on time Report Generation for pending tasks associated with different teams involved in the decommission process Analytical / Decision Making Responsibilities: Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and be able to prioritize assignments. Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people across teams , regions and organizations. Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations / people under pressure , such as service restore Knowledge and Skills Requirements: Datacenter Administration / support experience. Experience in maintaining mission critical production systems running in a data center and cloud environment Ability to document processes and procedures Working knowledge of Dell server hardware. Working knowledge of VMware servers. Excellent interpersonal , communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of E&Y tool sets (Service Now , Symantec SEP , Netbackup and others). Basic knowledge of SAN and NAS Storage. Strong working knowledge in ITIL Framework. Ability to work and team effectively with clients , management and its staff members.
