Job Description

What we are looking for Server Support Job Requirement: Systems Engineer L2 Roles & Responsibilities: Complete configuration, installation and support of equipments in a Microsoft Windows Environment. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Servers, OS, AD and Virtualization and escalate to L3 if needed after performing advance troubleshooting, Implement RFCs, Create SOPs, Checklists etc. Maintaining software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance including OS Patching, Firmware, Drivers etc. Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure availability of services. Any other duties as assigned by management Administration of Server Assessments and Backup Monitoring Execution of maintenance items out of hours (Patching) Establishes, maintains and manages Windows environment. Installs modifies and maintains systems and utility software on server computer systems. Provides server support related to other software. Perform AD tasks such as User and access management (password, user management, folder access, group policies, drive mapping, mailbox management, the delegation of rights) Vendor Management (hardware and Software vendors HP, Dell, MS, VM, Citrix and others) Endpoint Antivirus management and updates. Leading and managing infrastructure the operational team including but not limited to Server, Virtualization, Storage, including Backup. Desired Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be willing to work in shifts. Solid operational understanding and strong technical knowledge on Server hardware, Server OS including 2008, 2012, 2016 and basic to advanced knowledge on Virtualization such as Hyper V and VMware, Backup, Active Directory. Strong team player with ability to work closely, collaboratively and highly effectively with others to deliver results Knowledge of Remedy, Service Now or other ticketing tools Qualification: MCP OR MCSE OR MCITP Windows Server 2012 OR higher Any Hardware Server exposure (Vendor Cert would be nice to have) OR equivalent experience. Knowledge of or Certification in ITIL. Industry-based technical certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Citrix, VMWare, EMC, HP) Experience 3 to 5 years experience as windows and VM admin. 1-2 years experience in Active Directory.
