The role of Sponsorship Sales Manager is focused around generating revenue by acquiring sponsors for conferences and other business events. The person is responsible for tailoring proposals for prospective clients, which should in turn result in long term rewarding relationships. This exciting B2B sales role is suited for driven, career-focused over-achievers that enjoy recognition and are willing to challenge themselves in order to attain it. We are looking for an individual who has a strong sales background (preferably in B2B sales) and the ability to develop and maintain effective client relationships. Time Management, Planning, Leadership and Organizational Skills are crucial to be successful in this role.
Utilize telephone solicitation, electronic and written correspondence and face-to-face meetings as tools in order to reach and exceed the budgeted sponsorship target for each conference.
Meeting agencies to understand client budgets and keep them updated on various IPs we are executing
Presenting agencies the value break-up (Media & Non-Media) with respect to the proposal shared with clients.
Research and develop a list of potential sponsors for each conference
Conduct relevant market research and analysis to identify key trends in the sectors advertising and marketing strategies and provide a solution to those strategic needs.
Maximize revenue and ensure that revenue targets attached to conferences/summits are achieved.
Update the company database as required; Invoice sponsors and exhibitors once agreements have been reached
Liaise with the Marketing Team and build drip marketing campaign for each conference IP.
Constantly monitor market penetration and design strategies to strengthen our footprint within the sectors.
Relevant B2B Sales experience
Good negotiation skills
Successful track record in developing and managing conference brands for at least 2-3 years
Good contact with Media agencies
Should understand cost bifurcation ( element wise Media & Non-Media) and present the same to agency
Domain knowledge in at least two sectors. Preferable sectors Finance, Retail, Education, Infrastructure, Telecom & Technology or Horizontal platforms
Excellent writing, editing, communication, presentation, human relations and interpersonal skill
Analytical bent of mind with an ability to have a consultative approach towards clients
Ability to strategize and execute long term vision
Knack to multi task
Exceptional networking skills
