Role/Designation - Senior Manager Position Summary :- 1. Knowledge of Transmission Systems in Automobiles (e.g. Clutch system, Gearbox, Transaxle system, Live axles, transfer case etc.), Gear train, differential mechanism. Fatigue testing. 2. Exposure to transmission test rigs and test methodologies, kinematics, PLC, Hydraulics, Servo hydraulic systems. 3. Knowledge of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), reliability testing, Reliability Check List (RCL) etc. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :- 1. Lead a team of engineers and supervisors 2. Test setup /fixture design and preparation, benchmarking 3. Devise test plan, interact with national/international suppliers on testing requirements and finalize the validation plan 4. Device test schedule for fatigue tests of structural members of axle from Road Load Data (RLD). 5. Derive the accelerated test schedule for the gears and other child parts of the axle from RLD 6. Execute the tests as per the test plan & witness the tests at supplier end 7. Carry out data collection, data analysis, failure investigation, develop new tests & derivation of field correlation / conclusion, independently. 8. Prepare test reports covering technical aspects and draw conclusion. 9. Plan new setups, test facilities based on requirements 10. Study various international test standards/papers, test practices & improve TML testing methodology 11.Participate & give inputs in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Incidence Per Thousand Vehicles (IPTV) tracking & field correlation tests 11. Prepare safety guideline & ensure safety in the related work area using tools like Job Safety Analysis (JSA) etc. 12. Carryout preventive maintenance and calibration of test rigs/ equipments. Coordinate with design and proto shop team to build the gearbox assemblies and deliver those in time.
