Design (3D & 2D) of Engine related components/sub-systems/systems using CAD tools (ProE) considering functional, manufacturing, serviceability aspects etc.
Preparation of Digital Mock-up (3D) of Engine assembly
Design calculations for Engine related components/sub-systems/systems
To work closely with vehicle integration team for resolution of integration issues
Participation in execution of DFMEA, DFM, DFA, DFS etc., activity for engine and engine system components
Incorporating best benchmark practices at initial design level
Preparation and release of BOM (bill of material)
Interaction with vendors for proprietary parts design & development
Interaction with prototype development teams for Development of prototype parts to support new Engine development programs
Participation in CFT: Cross Functional Team (cost reduction, quality improvement etc.)
Good knowledge of Engines / Engine Sub systems/ Components
3D CAD Modelling / 2D detailing (Pro-engineer preferred)
PLM (Project Lifecycle Management) Systems & Engineering BOM Releases
Working knowledge of Microsoft software like (Excel, Word, Power point)
Working knowledge of simulation software like Pro-mechanica, AVL boost, AVL fire etc.
