Job Description

Primary Responsibility:

Work in a 24 X 7 Environment (NOC)Extend technical support to Clients over email and phoneCarry out the advance level of troubleshooting on OS and applicationsEnsure that the tickets raised per shift are closed as per SLA and if not escalate as per the escalation Matrix definedTechnically update the tickets in ticketing system for all the issues handled / worked uponWork on Change requests and take them towards closure as per defined timelinesFollowing up with Vendors – hardware & software whenever required & resolve issues by minimizing downtimesperformance analysis of data using monitoring ToolCarry out OS, application and firmware upgrades as and when requiredCarry out patch update activity for infrastructure as well as customer serversTimely execution of SIP related task allocated by Team leadImplementation of solutions as per Scope definedIdentify performance bottle neck and mitigate themWork towards automation of day to day tasksFollow the approval process for patch management , OS and firmware upgradeEscalation to L3 in timely mannerAdhere to shift timings and shift handover processTimely update/Quality update of tickets in the ticketing toolShould have knowledge and understanding of customer problems and works towards their resolution in timely and efficient manner for improving customer experienceShould work towards enhancement of his skill set on a continual basis

Mandatory Technical Skills:

Windows Administration preferably on Windows 2008, windows 2012Advance troubleshooting of network issues on serverAdvance windows OS installation, configuration and troubleshootingGood knowledge of OS performance fine-tuningPatch management using WsusCross platform awarenessWorked on DNS, DHCP and active directoryWorked on Blackberry, SharePoint, Microsoft ISA/TMG,OCS/LCSAwareness of storage and multipathingAdvance Microsoft cluster configuration and troubleshootingWorking on at least one monitoring toolExchange installation, configuration, troubleshooting of day to day mail related issues and performance fine-tuningworked on native backup tools and commercial backup softwareAdvance IIS administration/trouble shooting and fine-tuning of serviceWorked on hardware from different vendorsHardware raid configuration and troubleshootingCross platform awarenessGood Knowledge of MSSQL and troubleshooting between OS and databaseNOC & Datacenter experience
