Be responsible for maintenance of key components of the platform and ensure production up time.
Work with operations and customer service teams to identify operational pain points, incorporating feedback into the product, guide the engineers in maintenance team for preventive and reactive maintenance.
Analyse the current solution stack, proactively identify architecture improvement opportunities, prepare proposals & prototypes, guide the team to build the NFRs for increased production stability, automate processes as much as possible and reduce manual maintenance effort

The development manager should be a thought leader & self-driven person who can spot opportunities for functional & architecture improvements and willing to rollup sleeves and help team members work on product specifications and design.
This is not a pure people manager role. Technical competence, functional understanding, challenging the team for technical solutions proposed, fine tuning solutions will be a key part of day to day work.

Relevant job experience
o12+ years of experience working in a distributed product development environment.
Should have experience in development of atleast two enterprise products end to end, taking them to production and running in production 24*7.
oExperience in designing data pipelines, ETL, complex event processing, analytics components using big data technology is a plus.
oShould have excellent technical knowledge of distributed platforms acquired via hands on experience.
Extremely strong in one technology area and having technical width on multiple areas.
Should have developed atleast 2-3 enterprise products with strong SI capabilities from conceptualization to go-live and post go-live support.
oShould have exposure to complete product development lifecycle including production support
oShould have prior experience working with product management to prioritize roadmap items for delivery and working closely with PM teams for building the product and taking it to the market, participating in pre-sales workshops to understand market gaps and delivering the same.
oShould have cross functional expertise and hands on experience as a developer, architect, business analyst and team lead on complex technology projects
oShould have worked in cross functional teams (product management, development, QA, customers), understand team dynamics and priorities of each functional stakeholder and work with them to meet the deadlines
oShould have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
oShould be assertive, able to resolve conflicts and gain consensus in a cross functional team
oPast experience with working on agile teams, scrum master, PMI-ACP certification is a plus
oKnowledge of travel domain is a plus
Skills / Competencies:
oStrong technical skills with hands on experience in architecting and leading teams building enterprise products. Experience with products which deal with data pipeline design, ETL, streaming etc. is a plus.
oGood knowledge of data structures, algorithms and distributed systems design principles. Experience working with open source products is a plus.
