Conduct Forming analysis on sheet metal parts for resolving DFM issues. Perform structural, kinematic and dynamic analysis for cab body and mechanisms components. Development of design rules-guidelines / analysis tools / design and release systems improvement for higher productivity. High clarity of engeneering fundamentals required. Objectives: Early detection of component / sub-systems performance issues and investigation/failure analysis from testing and field vehicles. Enrich COCs with design tools for first time right design. Job Responsibility The person should have experience in BIW & Mechanisms of automotive cabins. Should have hands on experience MATLAB, CATIA Kinematics and CATIA Generative Structural Analysis. Should have understanding mechanisms like wiper, window winding, door closing & latches, cabin mounting and tilting systems Should have thorough fundamental knowledge of Machine Design, Theory of Machines, Dynamics of Machines, Engineering mathematics, Material Science. Etc. Working knowledge and hands on experience MSC Adams, Abacus, Hypermesh, Nastran will be useful. Ability of quick learning of analysis software is desired. Development of Design guidelines and automation of rules and analysis for making design tool. Communication and co-ordination with software applications development teams, COCs, testing and other departments. Conduct the basic CAE simulations on the components and mechanisms for early prediction of performance / regulatory requirement failures. Investigate field / testing failures Improve Design, Drafting, PLM release processes for achieving higher productivity by reducing the time required for release.
