Job Description

The finance function needs to be aligned to business strategy, and provide financial analysis and insight to support corporate decision making, while also meeting legal and regulatory requirements as a given . It is founded on a robust platform of integrated operational / transactional finance activities. Effective Decision Support - This service network helps clients deliver a fit-for-purpose financial planning, budgeting & forecasting, a tool to track cost and improve controls. It also helps the client to deliver performance management framework in order to help the business to make better decisions, cost management and allocate scare resources Finance Strategy and Transformation - Finance Strategy and Transformation helps a client to define the business partnering role for finance in driving the strategic business imperatives. It helps the CFO to clearly articulate its Finance vision and strategy, analyze the performance of the finance function and develop a future state operating model that is fit for purpose. Finance Shared Services We work with clients in setting up Finance COEs and Shared Service Centres to leverage on various benefits emanating from these structures.   >> KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Play the role of being a team member in engagements and work with team lead to successfully deliver the engagements On smaller engagements Senior Consultants will be expected to play the role of team leaders with 1 - 3 team members reporting to them for the project Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge on engagements Manage day-to-day interaction and work closely with senior client personnel for delivering engagements Meet stringent timeline with quality of engagement delivery through thorough and meticulous planning and execution of the tasks assigned Plan out work for oneself and reporting team members where relevant Monitor progress of work against the engagement plan and keep seniors updated Prepare the required deliverables in the format agreed with the Engagement Manager and client Maintain documentation as required  quality standards Organize / participate in team meetings and contribute ideas relating to the engagements Assist / work on building proposals and sales bid related documents Work in a dynamic business environment and willing to adapt to different industries on a continuous basis Remain current on developments in the economy specifically in areas of finance Conduct research, read thought leadership and knowledge repositories on a regular basis to deliver as per engagement requirements Ensure compliance with Companies policies and procedures   >> THE INDIVIDUAL To be part of the team, the individual should possess Strong understanding and experience of core finance processes and policies such as Planning & Budgeting, Financial Reporting & Consolidation, Taxation, Treasury, Capex, Working Capital Management, Inventory Management, Accounts Receivable & Payable Management, etc. Corporate strategy expertise with strong knowledge and experience in planning, budgeting and forecasting, corporate strategy and vision and growth strategy Finance domain and function knowledge. Knowledge and experience in cost accounting and management would be an added advantage Understanding and experience of key business processes in a corporate environment. Understanding and experience of processes (i.e. diagnostic/ benchmarking / design) in ERP / IT / Robotic environment would be an added advantage Basic understanding of ERP systems and financial reporting applications ( knowledge of Oracle / SAP /Hyperion / BPC will be an advantage ) Knowledge of MS office ( MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Understanding of control rationalization, optimization, effectiveness and efficiency Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skill Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Possess strong data analytics skills and knowledge of advanced data analytical tools will be an advantage Demonstrate integrity, values, principles and strong work ethic Ability to work well in teams Have the ability to work under pressure stringent deadlines and tough client conditions which may demand extended working hours Willingness to travel within India or abroad for continuous short or long periods of time, as required by the project
