Job Description

• The sales head will take ownership and ensure achievement of monthly/ quarterly/ yearly
targets set for the team
• Assumes responsibility for the lead management process with respect to lead generation &
• Responsible for maintaining high net retained income for the sales vertical in line with targets
• Responsible for analyzing sales trends & identifying new/ underleveraged segments and
should provide a plan to the sales team to maximize sales in that segment
• As review of the sales team, the sales head should analyse team performance and provide
feedback to the team for improvement. He should also ensure that the action points provided
are implemented by the team
• The sales head will be responsible for mentoring and providing guidance to the sales team to
ensure high motivation and skill levels within the team
• The sales head should work in perfect synchronization with the procurement head to ensure
that Companies business goals are met and the procurement and sales teams work in harmony
• The sales team should “lead by example” and should train to new team members using a few
sample negotiations with customers
• The sales head will keep a strong control over discounting to ensure that high sales margins
are maintained
