Perform statistical analysis of large sets of financial data. Clean and process data, perform data modeling, evaluations, and simulations.
Perform production work, including both offline analyses of production trading as well as real-time monitoring/operations, work to keep the production trading systems running.
Establish research plans, manage multiple Quant Research projects and ensure timely delivery of projects
Help with data analysis, testing of models and creating profitable trading strategies.
Be able to understand and apply research papers in finance and econometrics
Strong Familiarity with Python in a Linux environment. Experience in C/C++ is a plus
Exceptional quantitative as well as programming skills.
Experience designing and backtesting strategies leveraging machine learning and probabilistic techniques.
Experience working with large datasets of historical price data
Ability to collaborate intensively with other team members
Excellent communication skills
Prior experience working for a hedge fund or financial trading company
Experience with tick data a plus
Strong understanding of math and statistics, knowledge of probability theory and econometrics, numerical analysis and optimization, calculus, linear algebra, portfolio theory, factor analysis and time series analysis. Knowledge of machine learning is interesting.
Strong programming skills with an emphasis on writing clear, concise and maintainable code.

High level of proficiency in Python preferred experience in C/C++ is a plus
Relevant experience in similar roles in Quantitative Research and Model Development/Validation is desirable.
Hedge Fund, Asset Management or Proprietary trading background a plus
