Job Description

This role will support am to launch connected services ICT elements (N-Able), improve compliance and consistency, reduce our GBE delivery costs, and start to optimise/deliver on remote ICT tasking. Key Elements include:
o Support launch of OBS ICT offering (N-Able, SUS)
o Promote uptake of digital project tools to reduce cost/improve margin on large projects (remote engineering, wireless commissioning, standard servers).
o Foundation for future dynamic tasking by remote ICT teams at lower cost (improve OBS margin).
o ICT System Monitoring for OBS Customer Systems
o Remote Preventative & Dynamic ICT Tasking for OBS & Managed Services contracts.
o Manage Global HBS ICT Toolsets to support CS, Projects & Field - SecureConnect (remote access & commissioning), N-Able (remote monitoring and automation), password management, ITSM Link.
o N-Able template build out, support remote connections, onboarding, critical alarm management, user management
o Manage & promote Projects digital productivity toolsets, Wireless commissioning, Standard EBI/DVM Server builds - improve margin/reduce costs. Start of Global Engineering Services 2.0
o Future: Expert ICT/Networking advisory services for sales pursuits (capability & design support), projects, and service contracts.
o Future: L1/L2 ICT Technical Support to GBE service contracts
With ever-increasing integration and connectivity, Cyber Security has become a critical requirement and consideration in how we offer, design and deliver solutions to customers. In line with the Digital Operations organisation and standards, this role will aid the improvement and governance of HBSs field cyber security capability and standards across the GBE to ensure HBS is maintaining secure solutions for our customers, in line with industry standards and practices.
The role will be a contributing member to the HBS Global ICT & Cyber Security Centre of Excellence (COE), working with representatives from all areas of the business to identify, prioritise, and coordinate the activities required to improve Companys capability in this space.
Provide expert advice using current technical knowledge as to the procurement, configuration and implementation of the underlying architecture and technologies for new Company led systems, with the aim of ensuring supportability, expansibility and flexibility.
Have a good understanding of networks, network principles and IT industry processes and procedures.
Have good current and up-to-date technical knowledge of Company supported products (EBI, DVM, Energy Manager) including participation in EBI advanced college training.
Ensure high availability and performance of Digital Ops ICT Systems by diagnosing complex problems, tuning to improve performance, maintaining and supporting the underlying infrastructure, monitoring of network and system intrusions.
Protect the integrity of the Company implemented software, server and network infrastructure and services by managing access, monitoring global ICT security news and technological developments, and acting on these using vendor advice and current technical knowledge.
Ensure project management methodologies are followed in the delivery of ICT packages, and appropriate change management for server software upgrades, significant system changes and implementation of any new Company product features or versions.
Develop effective working relationships with Companys TAC teams, systems users and software vendors, to ensure systems can be well maintained, used effectively, and that requests for action to correct system problems can be attended to effectively and promptly.
Keeps abreast of all relevant developments and innovations in the IT field and researches best practice methodologies.
Ensure that skills are maintained and enhanced in "specialist" area(s) relating to product knowledge, services knowledge, or industry knowledge
Self-direction in identifying and suggesting training opportunities
Provide proactive, engaged leadership for team members (including direct and indirect reports) with a focus on professional development and team optimization
Identify areas of innovation, technical excellence and best practices through knowledge sharing internally (regionally and globally) and externally to facilitate HBS becoming the go-to business for clients, star performers and employees.
Identify, develop, and maintain strategic industry partnerships to strengthen Companys position, credibility and value proposition in the technology space.
Keeps abreast of all relevant developments and innovations in the IT field and researches best practice methodologies and ensure emerging technologies are correctly aligned with customer requirements and solution offering.
Identify strategic third party product and solutions which complement our strategy.
