Act as a liason between the VMware Information Security Team as early as possible in M&A activities.
This will allow the Security Liaison to understand any gaps which may exist between the acquired company and VMware surrounding security policies, procedures, controls, etc.
This will also allow the Security Liaison to communicate within the M&A COE and to broader VMware teams ( i.e. Risk Management Tea, Testing Teams within Information Security etc) which might need to be included to determine the best method to integrate the acquisition.
- A dotted line exists into the Information Security Team as the key security decision makers for VMware,
- Act as the voice of M&A COE activities and surface questions both ways to ensure VMware is not creating any new risk for the organization because of the plans going forward.
- Requires an understanding Vmware security posture, requirements for testing/analysis, and ensure security tasks on both sides to ensure these are being implemented.
- Strong project manager skills with security experience or knowledge to drive coordination between M&A COE activities and various VMware security and related stakeholders
