Job Description

- Organize awareness activities in the project area.
- To implement the project as per the approved project frame work to support activities of RNTCP under MDR TB.
- To lead a team of trained counselor / Supervisor and other field staff to supervise the MDR TB treatment adherence & community DOT project.
- To facilitate, organize and conduct training programs for GLRA staff and other RNTCP staff.
- To monitor and periodically conduct review meetings and prepare monthly / quarterly reports on performance and coverage of the project.
- To provide feedback to state /District TB officers & GLRA and other stakeholders on the status of the project.
- To liaise with DHS, State / District TB Societies & Consultants for smooth implementation of project.
- To network with NGO / CBO under public private Mix (PPM) to support project activities
- Ensuring the sufficient stock of drugs and other logistics are available and their register is maintained.
- S/he shall coordinate the overall activities of Counselors / field coordinators / project assistant and community volunteers of the assigned area.
- S/he shall supervise the assigned community DOT centers / DOTs plus centers randomly as per need.
- S/he shall establish linkages with private practitioners, NGO’s and community leaders and shall facilitate health education campaigns/resource
mobilization for promoting treatment adherence among TB/MDR TB patients.
- S/he shall be responsible for monitoring of progress, facilitate management of complications with the help of chest specialist of the related chest clinic.
- S/he shall ensure the maintenance of appropriate financial records and submit monthly expenditure reports to GLRA Delhi Office.
- To verify all vouchers at the time of submission of monthly settlement.
- Ensuring the patients undergoing the necessary sputum examinations at the stipulated time during the follow-up period and continuous regular
medication until cure.
- Personal attention shall be paid to all patients who refuse to take drugs/hospitalization as per guidelines.
- S/he shall contribute proposal development, documentation in the project.
- S/he shall participate in various evaluation exercises in Delhi and other projects.
- S/he may be assigned for any other work in favour of organization and project, by superiors as and when required.
