Job Description

- Foundation's Program Officers will lead the implementation of its Maternal and Child Health Program in Rajasthan's Sikar and Sirohi districts. Block Managers would ensure that program activities are delivered for desired output and monitored for sustained impact on the health outcomes of their respective villages. This program aims to transform nutrition and mortality indicators of these districts and will need passionate public health professionals to drive the program's mandate.


- Understand the program design and plan and ensure delivery of specific demand generation, supply facilitation and government engagement strategies in the field

- Specific role on the supply side:

Develop partnerships and provide techno-managerial support to the Block Medical Officer and CDPO (Child Development Project Officer) for implementing program strategies

Work closely with FLWs to improve data flow and decision making of these core players

Provide supportive supervision to the Frontline Workers (FLW) for implementation of program activities

Conduct trainings to capacity build frontline workers for mother and child tracking and service delivery

Develop and implement plan for hard to reach areas for service delivery

- Specific interventions on the demand side:

Identify community groups like SHGs, dairy cooperatives, PRI institutions; conduct group meetings as required to implant nutrition and MCH messaging that generates ground-up demand from potential program beneficiaries.

Work closely with self-help groups and other community voices for building demand generation for health services

- Partnerships with CSOs

Develop partnership with other partners for synergies and leveraging complementing resources

- Program Monitoring & Reporting:

Routinely monitor program implementation in the block

Plan, implement and supervise the program monitoring and reporting

Coordinate with the District, State and Delhi based staff for ensuring program delivery of strategies with quality

Participate in monthly meeting, collate monthly reports and finalize action plan for the next month in coordination with district mangers

Coordinate any other activity related program implementation in the field

5 End Product :

1. Monthly report on activities / Timeline sheet

2. Monthly report of MIS in the district

3. Trip reports/ Travel sheet

4. Adept at managing data, preferably with experience in health/nutrition data.

5. Sound understanding of health & nutrition programs and health care delivery structure in Rajasthan

6. Computer proficiency with specific skills in using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

7. Excellent oral and written communication in Hindi. Proficiency in local Rajasthan dialects in target districts would be an additional qualification

8. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment

9. Ability to analyze reports, plan and monitor project plans
