Job Description


The role requires strategic thinking, excellent project management skills, and collaboration with across companys policy team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management. The manager should have demonstrated high performance in prior roles and have the ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.

The person will be reporting to Regional Head of Economic Growth Initiatives and requires significant travel.

Responsibilities :

Help scale the small business program in India and deliver on companys commitment to advancing local economic growth, entrepreneurship development, and job creation.
Work directly with the regional head and India Policy team to execute programs in regions that also provide cross-functional value to teams across the company.
Build creative partnerships with key opinion leaders, small business organizations and advocacy groups to engage them in our collective efforts to support local communities.
Work with the business teams to manage the creation of communications, educational and marketing materials to support the program.
Coordinate community engagement activities that include participation from strategic trade associations, industry partners, non-profit groups and other community organizations that will help demonstrate companys commitment to small businesses and the local community.
Provide input to Product and Engineering teams on local engagement opportunities and provide feedback on current products and development plans from the small business community.
Stay informed on relevant and emerging small business and local/regional policy issues.
Coordinate internal and external players across countries and time zones, keeping all informed of progress and deadlines.

Requirements :

6+ years experience in planning and executing public policy programs.
Ability to drive and manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously.
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively.
Economics experience desired, MBA preferred.
Excellent writing, research and communication skills.
Experience in the Internet technology industry a plus.
Passion for Facebook, its community, and its values.
Significant travel required
