Strictly adheres to the Permit to Work System where applicable and carries out work fully complying with safety precautions and requirements as detailed and directed. Ensures that tidiness of all workshop machines and equipments
are maintained at a high standard at all times. Attends daily Toolbox Talks and contributes to JHA development.
Plans and organises his work in conjunction with his Machinist Supervisor. Makes the required arrangements to carry out work assigned to him in an efficient manner. Uses PACER/SAP for job execution, spares ordering, history etc. and closeout. Uses Computer packages such as Word and Excel to develop reports, also works within the framework of
NLNG personnel administration systems.
Executes routine and preventive maintenance activities on all workshop machines under the direction of his supervisor.
Uses technical expertise and proven competence to analyse and fault find, act independently and effectively to achieve work plan objectives. Tasks include fault diagnosis, disassembling, cleaning, checking, measuring, reassembling, testing, servicing, and repairing of workshop and plant equipment / machines (rotating and static) as requested.
Operates machine tools and other equipment as required by the repair process, such as Lathes, Drilling machines,
Grinding machines (Rotary, Pedestal, Cylindrical and surface grinders), Relief Valve Test Machines, Block Valve Test Machines, Key Seating Machines, Milling Machines, Vertical and Horizontal Boring Machines, Valve Lapping
Machine, Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Machines etc.
Completes his work in accordance with Engineering Quality system requirements, by following procedures and work
instructions. Completes checklists or other documents required during the execution of the work. Suggests changes to
