1. Understands and develop platform strategy and drives platform portfolio clarity and consensus on project categorization by translating or developing specific goals through project management plan. Drives innovation at platform level, establishes platform variants & configurability targets considering all global variants. 2. Maintains existing platform/products defining new variants introductions, supervising feasibility study for the required changes 3. Consolidates market requirements collaborating with Product Planning and leads the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) in customer insighting phase with Product Planning and all COEs to establish product functionalities and requirements for the different aggregates. 4. Leads the definition of the platform architecture by collaborating with all COEs and the platform leaders 5. Planning, forecasting & allocation of resources for various projects collaborating with COEs to ensure optimum utilization of resources by continuously striving for excellence. 6. Coordinates the development activities and ensures adherence to the product development process (MNPD) and homologation norms at Project level maintaining bill of material (BOM) control at all stages & signing-off final bill of material at start of production stage. 7. Drive regular project management and risk reviews to ensure all timeline risks, infrastructure risks, human resource risks, co-ordination risks are proactively identified and mitigated. 8. Ability to lead and drive project leaders, and interfacing with diversified groups through cross functional teams (CFTs) with high degree of persuasive and influencing for achieving project goals - first time right product launch. Knowledge: Good understanding of Product Development Process and Project Management. Strong technical knowledge (whole vehicle, integration aspects) and the interdependencies of product content and the selected platform solutions. Understanding of business objectives, monitors project budgets (Product & Project Cost), review business case financials. Skills: Good influencing skills & stakeholder management, negotiation, conflict management, ability to work with other teams & manage ambiguity, business acumen, decision making and analytical skills.
