Tuning and debugging customer installations, assisting developers to write efficient code and maintaining internal databases for development, test, and consulting use.
Working closely with leading experts in Supply Chain Planning and Forecasting applications to produce robust, scalable, efficient code.
Provides on-call support for Oracle databases and work in shifts
Opportunities and occasional requirements for travel to install and/or diagnose software, train IT professionals, and support Terra consulting services.
Bachelor's/Master's/PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Science with a consistent academic record (Preferably more than 70%).
Oracle-certified DBA with 5+ years of DBA experience with wide range of responsibilities including, but not limited to: performance tuning, backup and recovery, capacity planning, and database upgrading
Expertise and development experience in PL/SQL and SQL
Track record of delivering quality work on time and ability to expand own expertise
Self-motivated, detail and team-oriented
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Enjoys dynamic, result-oriented work culture
Experience in Performance Tuning and Query Optimization is a must.
Knowledge of server, storage and networking technology is a plus.
Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
Knowledge of RAC and ASM
Experience considered a plus:
Understanding of testing concepts and methodologies/testing automation tools
Supply Chain background
DOS/UNIX scripting experience
