Overall in charge of all operations of the Auto bus manufacturing operations, MG Composites fibreglass unit and Grey Engine bus electronics unit .
MATERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
BUSINESS PLAN DEVELOPMENT / EXECUTION
Annual and monthly detailed production plans for all units- - in line with marketing requirements- along with all related planning for manpower, materials, vendor development, toolings, etc to deliver the targeted production
Full responsibility for product quality and production costs
CAPITAL BUDGETING & MFG TECH UPGRADATION
Reviewing manufacturing technologies in the plant and planning all round improvements in machineries, toolings, processes / practices, layouts, material handling, etc for consistent improvement in cost, efficiency, quality, flexibility -- as a mission.
Capacity expansion / augmentation and relate layout planning in all plants looking ahead in a 1-5 year horizon while at all times keeping a close view on the costs involved
PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER DIVERSIFICATION
Strategizing new businesses and customers along with the required new products active development.
Travel for meetings with customers as and when required for the smooth running of business
In this matter a close working relationship with marketing and R&D will be required
