Job Description

We are looking for a talented OBIEE Administrator to be part of our DevOps capability, the aim of which is the rapid development and continued support of reliably performing production software platforms. We need a self-motivated individual who is able to work alongside multiple development teams to oversee the database design and development in a variety of projects.
This individual will work in an agile way with on-shore project development teams, including the on-shore BI engineers and analysts, business sponsors and solution architects to support the DevOps team within the F&GPPS&GMA IT division.
Build, configure, and maintain a OBIEE platform in a UNIX environment
Migrate code between pre-production and production environments
Manage the settings, server, web catalog, log parameter files, promotion of data repositories associated with OBIEE
Start-up and shutdown the Oracle Business Intelligence Suite application servers and web servers
Managing OBIEE repository, security setup, system patching/upgrades, migrations of web catalog objects (Dashboard, Pages, Folders, Reports)
Configuration/Tuning of Presentation Services and BI Services
Troubleshoot issues raised by users and provide timely resolutions
Maintain and configure WebLogic to support the Business Intelligence platform
Work closely with the Enterprise I&O server teams regarding AWS virtual hardware
Physical & Logical architecture design understanding in clustered OBIEE environment
Perform capacity planning and requirement analysis, captures, and documentation regarding technical needs
Develop, create, and document technical architecture and specifications
Develops and maintains disaster recovery strategy
Assist with improving performance of infrastructure systems and end user experience
Work collaboratively with internal and external resources to support and enhance the existing BI architecture
Ability to make sound decisions and work well under pressure
3 years Oracle WebLogic experience
2 years of experience working on a team responsible for designing, building, configuration, and maintaining a OBIEE 11g/12c solution
Minimum of 3 yrs. Linux (RedHat) command line experience
Understanding of OBIEE, ETL, and Data Migration
Demonstrable SQL/MDX skills
Database knowledge around Redshift and Aurora RDS from AWS.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team to achieve objectives
Experience of working in agile teams using methodologies such as SCRUM and/or SAFe
A self-starter with high levels of drive, energy and resilience
Willing to be involved in all areas of deployment process including testing and release planning
Eager to learn and develop new tech skills as required
Work collaboratively with internal and external resources to support and enhance the existing BI architecture
Ability to make sound decisions and work well under pressure
