A key focus for the Market Development Manager (MDM) will be to develop opportunities for Armor business in terms of new programs in vehicle, helmet, vest, breast plate and extremity armor applications.
The MDM will implement the business strategy as well as act as the program manager for critical regional Military and Law Enforcement presolicitation and full & open solicitation activities.
The MDM will develop and lead sales strategies that link program objectives with direct customers, and coordinate and lead end user visits throughout the region.
Understanding program requirements, assessing and anticipating competitive forces, developing a deep understanding of the next best alternatives, and positioning products for specific programs and longer term sustainable growth is a critical component of this role.
Working with a variety of cross-functional teams the MDM will play a pivotal role in managing programs, launching new products, contributing to new product development programs, and other initiatives.
As part of his/her responsibilities, the MDM will manage existing Military and Law Enforcement end-users including relationships at the respective research & testing laboratories.
The MDM will be accountable to consistently deliver and exceed monthly and quarterly, AOP (Annual Operating Plan) targets of volume, revenue, and profitability.
