Job Description

Expert in Network and security Domain, with proven expertise in routing/ Switching/ Security(firewalls/ LB's) Should have NOC experience and should have good flair in Network operations management. Should have expert knowledge on the emerging technologies and should be self- motivated. Should have project management and service management exposure. CCIE would be a preferred skill. Hardware and Networking: Knowledge on Server Hardware - Multiple Vendors, Remote Management Tools, Software & Hardware Raid, Technical understanding on network topologies & devices, Analytical skills to identify, isolate, troubleshoot, suggest/ recommend solutions Windows Administration: Working knowledge on multiple Windows OS platforms, OS configuration on different roles - Domain, WINS, DNS, DHCP, IIS - configuration and troubleshooting. Knowledge of - Disk & Storage, File & Print Server Management, Terminal Services, Raid Administration, NTFS Permissions, WSUS Management and Administration, DFS / File Sharing, Analytical skills to identify, isolate, troubleshoot, suggest/ recommend solutions Clustering: Working knowledge along with troubleshooting on Windows Clusters, different quorum requirements, failover, failback, recovery and troubleshooting quorum and heartbeat issues between cluster nodes, publishing servers on NLB and troubleshooting with the help of available log files Active Directory: Working knowledge on AD Users and Group administration, FSMO Roles, Site & Subnets. Technical understanding of FRS Administration Troubleshooting, Global Catalog Server, AD Group Policy, AD Disaster Recovery, Backup & Restore Technical understanding of AD tools and resource kit tools Virtualization: Through knowledge on specific virtualization technologies inclusive of building/ rebuilding new/ crashed hosts, troubleshooting various different issues including performance utilizing all publically available official troubleshooting tools, know- how to create/ modify scripts to run specific tasks etc., Backup: Working knowledge on Setup and Configuration of native & Working knowledge on 3rd party backup management tools & troubleshooting. Define Policy, Backup Pool, Retention. Knowledge on difference between Master & Media Server, Technical understanding of backup and restore type - exchange backup files/ System State Backup / File- Folders backup, Antivirus: Working knowledge of native & 3rd party antivirus management tools, Virus definitions/ signature update, etc. Knowledge about Virus, spam, Trojans, spyware, etc. Setup, Configuration, Remediation & troubleshooting Storage: Ability to explain storage architecture and connectivity options. Knowledge of different storage protocols such as ISCSI, FC, SCSI, CIFS, NFS etc, Knowledge of RAIDS, Knowledge of Reboot process of Storage Arrays MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES Good communication and interpersonal skills. Drive technical escalation, identify corrective actions from a technical view point Drive problem management effectiveness, look at technical gaps in design and identify fixes for the complete foot print. Major/ Critical change reviews. And technical risk assessment. Part of the solutions team to work on existing new RFP s or new business solution design. Well versed with the upcoming technologies and identify technical gaps in the team and work on fulfilling them. Technical discussions with the customer and customer engagement. Automation and innovation Should be able to spear head and bring about automation initiatives and execution of the same to increase productivity Customer Management: Participate Program Performance Reviews, Drive Proactive Service Improvement plans, Drive Automation and Productivity Projects, Ensure CSAT on defined Metrics, Identify new business opportunities through technology optimization/ advances, SPOC for solution engineering for all new opportunities within existing clients Escalations and Communications: Review and Publish RCA, Communication on Process and Technology Changes, Responsible for Managing Critical Issues, Communications on New Services, Transisitions, Ensure that critical issues are not repeated through proactive technology solutions Reporting: Reviewing and Publishing SOP, FMEA & KB, Problem management metrics People Management: Ensure building of the Technical capability of the team. Review tech and process assessment ratings. Responsible for KRA setting, Performance management & career planning for direct reports, Participation in operational or functional interviews (Organizationwide), Design and participation of Induction modules for the team Operations Management: Configuration and Capacity management, Driving BCP/ DRP, Derive and own operations efficiency improvement programs through tech solutions/ automation (TCO to be reduced YOY), Capacity Planning for operations as well as client infrastructure capacity.
