Role: Will be responsible for development of LV and MV silane cross-linked and HFFR wire and cable compounds and masterbatches.
Will be responsible for the entire development cycle from proposal, development through to customer trials and commercialization.
Will also be responsible for scale-up and plant support of product processing; technical service of developmental products, and analysis related to the above.
The incumbent will be required to travel within the near export regions for customer support.

Profile Description :"BE / B.Tech (Chemical / Polymer Engineering) or BSc (chemistry, polymer science or related field) with 12-22 years experience in formulating, tech service, testing and processing experience specific to polyethylene silane cross-linkable wire and cable compounds, Halogen free flame retardant (HFFR) PE wire and cable compounds and masterbatches.
a) Knowledge of thermoplastic processing technologies specifically twin screw compounding, compaction, blending and customers conversion processes (blown film, IM, Rotomolding, BM etc)
b) Knowledge of additives and formulations for W&C PE compounds and masterbatches.
c) Knowledge of physical and analytical testing techniques required for polyethylene wire and cable compounds.
d) Hands on: ability to specify, procure and install complex laboratory equipment.
e) Hands on: ability to run pilot scale processing equipment and perform related routine maintenance on equipment such as ZE25 twin screw extruders, small blown film and tape extruders.
f) Experience of managing relations with suppliers and customers.
g) Experience of managing both short and long term development projects
a) in-depth and expert knowledge of wire and cable materials and engineering including analytical and physical testing, structure-property relations, compounding, blending, and formulating W&C materials.
