Job Description

Role Purpose: Maintain the plants in conformance to the established policies, systems and procedures and coordinate planning and execution of production at plants. Reporting To: GM Productions/ Head Operations Location: Plant Education: B. E. Mechanical Experience (in years): 10 - 12 years in Process Equipment Industry Responsibilities: Development of operating plan: ? Establish Project wise Production Plan with manufacturing cost, quantity, Quality targets for the plant and provide input to SCM Planner ? Define capital requirements for new products, capacity increase, quality improvement, production improvement and asset replacement for the plant. ? Develop cost reduction programs and continuous improvement programs at the plants. ? Review the day wise production schedule for the month along with Production Engineers and give feedback for improvement Production management: ? Review MRCPI prepared by Production Engineers and provide Feedback ? Monitor the management of production functions as per the systems and procedures. ? Manage production, materials, resource utilization and manpower costs for the All Projects as per budget ? Ensure efficient use of resources to meet production targets and be competitive in terms of quality and efficiencies. ? Check for consumable material usage and availability for production readiness, identify missing material (Shortages) and expedite the procurement of material. ? Monitor critical Material requirement and its purchase status ? Monitor execution of production operations to achieve raw material efficiency and utility consumption as per established standards. ? Ensure the completion of production operation order ? Monitor Performance of Labour contractors and take corrective actions whenever required ? Coordinate the planning and execution of production schedule. Provide timely feedback on status of Production. Highlight any issues causing delay in Operations and suggest corrective action ? Analyze production data of the plants, resolve any discrepancy, and provide periodic reports & MIS Assignment ? Timely MIS and Reporting ? Highlight cause of concerns and suggest Corrective actions Key Performance Indicators Frequency ? Plant - wise Productivity (Budgeted v/ s Actual) ? Plant Capacity Utilization ? Monthly ?
