Finance Close team provides accounting support to various legal entities based out of Bermuda, UK and US. The key activities of the team involves timely closure of books of accounts by recording all the necessary transactions such as operating expense accruals, equity share capital/debt movement, dividend, etc. The team is also responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis,preparation of 10K/10Q notes, financial supplements and audit committee presentations, resolving intercompany differences, etc.
What will your essential responsibilities include?
Preparation of Financial Supplement and audit committee presentations which includes quarterly/annual results
Review of financial data in the Press release, Earning scripts before the earning call every quarter
Resolve intercompany imbalances for both Profit and Loss and Balance sheet accounts at a group level and ensure the imbalances are within the defined threshold
Preparation of Intercompany memo explaining the reason for the intercompany imbalances
Preparation of Other Assets & liabilities memo explaining the reason for balance movement at a group level
Review of financial statement of entities to ensure they get audited and signed off by the auditors as per the agreed timelines.
Review of compensation related accruals and other operating expense accruals.
Review of balance sheet reconciliations before the specified timelines
Preparation of Close Calendar for Corporate segment
Ensure all the topside/late adjustments are documented and get recorded in the appropriate accounting system.
Identify process improvements and make recommendations to streamline the process.
Handling of adhoc queries related to the process on a regular basis.\
Review and update internal controls (FIC) documentation/SOX compliance for various processes
