Primary skills of the resources will be on Linux OS.
These resources will be available in 24 X 7 shifts. Expected work timings are US timings.
Function as Ciscos points of contact for infrastructure needs of Cisco EaaS project covering cloud, managed services.
Carry out the troubleshooting on Linux OS and Applications .
Monitor infrastructure 24 X 7.
Hands on experience in configuring Nagios.
Coordinate with different teams geographically ( English Fluency ).
Actively be part of resolution process for any fault / performance issues
Responsible for executing SOP related activities
Extend technical support the Clients over email and phone.
Co-coordinating for driving the uptime of the various client projects being managed.
Ensure that the tickets raised per shift are closed as per SLA and if not escalate as per the escalation Matrix defined.
Raise and also technically update the tickets in ticketing system for all the issues handled / worked upon.
Work on the change request and new Installations
Apply patches to the OS / applications or upgrade the applications as and when required, as per the approval from the respective Customer Team.
Facilitate earlier resolution to the issues to meet SLA
Keep track of capacity and security aspects and analyze it in light of the business requirements of Cisco and proactively ensues scalability and optimal use of existing infrastructure
Redhat cluster preferred, if not it can be any other clusters experience
Advanced scripting ability with at least one interpreted language (perl, Bash,shell, python, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Internet Protocol Suite and layers
Advanced experience with DNS, LDAP, NTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSH
Experience with LVM, RAID
Performance, tuning and capacity planning for
Physical and virtual servers
OS updates, patches and configuration changes
System management through scripting, automation and policies
Support and plan system backups and data recovery strategies
SAN and NAS administration
Basic network administration
On-call rotation for after hours support and scheduled maintenances
Strong organizational skills a must
Prior supervisory experience is a plus
Project coordination experience required
Able to adapt to quick requirements change and produce fast solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
Ability to adhere to policies & procedures.
