Position Purpose: 1. Primary responsibility is to provide Investment Advise to WM Clients & Prospects on Equity Stocks and other Equity products like Funds and PMS. 2. To actively promote Equity advisory / products as per client investment profile in coordination with RMs. 3. IC is the key contact point for all investment activities of the assigned clients to facilitate the client in their investment decision making process so as to achieve the desired investment performance of the assigned accounts that is in accordance to their investment objectives and constraints of the client. 4. Responsible for achieving the targeted growth in revenue and ROA for the assigned client accounts. 5. For new business acquisition, IC plays a key role in supporting the RM team in their joint marketing efforts. IC will take a lead to convert existing WM clients to Equity Advisory/ Products. 6. On client accounts managed by IC: a. Generate investment ideas and proposals in line with desk views and recommendations; b. Pro-active marketing of investment ideas/products of the desk c. Support broad-based product penetration through asset allocation and diversification concepts, d. Ensure efficient and timely implementation of investment decisions for the assigned clients. e. Perform quarterly portfolio review on assigned accounts with timely restructuring ideas if necessary; 7. Act as the active communication channel between Investment Services Desk and RMs. a. Contribute ideas and raise effectiveness of Investment Services b. Work closely with relevant product specialists to seek their consent and support on any products or investment ideas that are outside the current recommendations. 8. Provide suggestions to develop methodology and processes to improve the Investment Counsellor service standards 9. Educate the RMs and front office team on new products and to catalyze investment activities To achieve the following in accordance with policies and guidelines : 1.Achieving the targeted growth in revenue and ROA of the assigned accounts as per the management budget. 2.Increasing product penetration across mapped/ assigned client accounts. 3.Achieve high RM utilization rate in market coverage. 4.Delivering quality sales and advisory services. 5.Getting positive feedback on the investment recommendations and after-sales services rendered to designated clients and RM teams. 6.Delivering good team work with product specialists and RMs in promoting the products/recommendation. 7.Work with RMs in pitching for new businesses. 8.Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines in dealing with clients and making investment recommendations. KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Technical: Knowledge on equity markets and stocks, understanding of Financial markets & Products, Financial planning, knowledge on investment taxation etc Behavioral : Multi tasking, positive attitude, pro-active, ethics, effective communication, presentation skills, relationship management, independent working.
