Head (Technical Sales – India & Overseas) – Food Ingredients
Sales & marketing of food ingredients, excipients & intermediates to foods & beverages industries, dairies all over India & Other Continents (B2B sales only) and be responsible for all sales functions, achieving targets, formulating marketing strategies etc.
Responsible for developing sales in a geographical sector and a particular market – Pan India & Other Continents. You manage and develop a professional customer portfolio for the FMCG to whom you promote Co’s products.
As the client's first point of contact, you guarantee sales and ensures customer satisfaction.
Tracking and developing the customer portfolios
Working to establish quantified targets in your area and aligning your own actions to achieve them
Expanding and developing existing accounts with a view to building customer loyalty
Creation of customers' plans and tracking their development
Continuously improving his/her market knowledge, especially by discussing matters with customers
Sales and advice to the customer portfolios
Organize and conduct sales prospect
Drawing up and negotiating sales proposals up to contract signing
Providing an interface between R&D and the customers in specific development projects
Answer any commercial or technical request and propose new solutions
Managing the after-sales follow-up and monitoring customer satisfaction
Managing a network of local distributors
Reporting regularly on your sales activities and results
Selling commodity and specialty products
Technical marketing and promotion of functional food ingredients
All routine activities related to the regular sale
Visiting the customers
Sharing product samples and making follow up
Prepare a timely report of the visits
Getting the orders and following the order till it is dispatched and reached at customers end
Handling customers complaints and following customers for repeat orders
Following Principals for the purchase of the product
Coordinate with logistics and accounts for routine work
Follow up the customers for payment.
Qualification And Experience:
I. B. Tech/ M. Tech (Food technology) or Chemistry /Science background having 5-20 years Technical experience / Sales of Ingredient in FMCG Sector (B2B Sales).
II. Create a good network with commercial and developments teams at customers end.
III. Able to design competent sales and pricing strategies for new product
IV. Should build good access at the customer's end (manufacturing co’s)
V. Should have knowledge of industry leaders and movements in specific segments.
