Position: Head operations (Fisheries) Job Description: Handling procurement, import, logistics and marketing of Pelagic Fish, with Cold Room managing . Spearheading the entire gamut of Profit Centre operations of Seafood products through Retail outlets inLagos & other states of Nigeria, involving sales, marketing, operations and administration supported by Sales and Operational teams of 15+ members expatriate with separate clearing house. Establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales plans Establishing and adjusting selling prices across all channels by monitoring costs, trade deals, competitor's activities, and supply and demand Maintaining national sales staff job results by coaching, counseling; planning, monitoring, and appraising job result Responsible for all arrangements related to logistic operations, import clearing operation of products and delivering to customers Responsible to lead the customer teams to develop growth strategies that are based on market understanding and customer strategic insight resulting in expedited company growth, increased operational efficiency Liaising with Local and Federal Government for Smooth running of the business. Developing systems and processes to create an effective Sales organisation; proactively identifying market demands and customers expectations and modifying strategies for expansion of market share & achievement of revenue targets Monitoring development of cost effective & compelling positioning, messaging & sales tools to promote large scale revenue & profit gains as well as improve on brand value Tracking daily production activities, for value added products like PDTO, PTO, Butterfly, Skewers, and Fish products (Fillets, Chunks, Fish Balls, Fish Fingers) involving preparing production schedules, implementing quality tools for optimum output; administering operations of 1,000 MT Cold Rooms, Processing Plant & surroundings Propagating Quality Circle movement and developed quality culture in the workforce to achieve quality leadership in the industry for overall sea food production life cycle; managing on-board freezing vessel sanitation Making efforts to turn around the operation of plant to achieve good profit, good service to increase profit, lower quality problems and clearances of regulatory & non-regulatory audits Planning timely procurement of raw materials at competitive prices to achieve lower cost of production and meet deadlines Eliminating obsolescence and achieving cost reduction by minimizing bottlenecks for high productivity; minimizing performance bottlenecks for productivity with optimum utilization of resources Ensuring effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of staff; displaying a dynamic leadership style to motivate the team; training crew members training for packaging, grading and quality standards Desire Profile:- - Candidate must be have B.sc. / M.sc. - Fishries - 15-25 year exp - Sal : 5-6k USD per month - Location Nigeria Competency Skills : Should be a self motivated individual having excellent communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
