Responsible for managing plant Employee Relations activities, policies, procedures and programs (Unionized environment). This includes end to end life cycle management for all Blue Collar employees including Trainees, Contractual, and Temporaries etc. Position is also responsible for overseeing the CSR function for the plant.
Job Responsibilities :
Managing employee relations (both internal & external) in line with companys policy / guidelines
Effective engagement with Union on all issues pertaining to LTS, Productivity, Welfare, other day to day matters etc.
On-time Sourcing, hiring & deployment of Blue Collar Manpower as per the MOP workforce structure & volumes
Skilling for all Blue Collar employees in line with defined framework
ER Capability building for the Team (especially ER Managers)
Zero loss of production / productivity due to manpower issues
Reduction / rationalization in welfare cost
Maintaining defined ratio-mix of employee categories
Proactive measures to control absenteeism, trainee attrition
Create disciplined workplace by enforcing all guidelines /policies in-place, like Compliance to Safety PPEs, Uniform, No Tobacco use, Break-time, Working time, No mobile usage @ shopfloor etc.
Benchmarking good labour / welfare practices from similar industry.
First hand collective bargaining with the Union on points related to LTS
Liasioning with State Labour Department, Employment Dept, Factories Dept, & other government bodies
Encourage people to participate in CSR activities, so as to achieve set CSR targets.
