Develops short and long term goals and objectives for the unit in consultation with the head of Hospital.
Accepts and promotes ownership and accountability for services through which medical care is given to patients.
Works with medical team in rendering professional medical care whenever required.
Promotes and maintains a good working relationship among medical staff, other hospital employee, patients and public.
Provides clinical and administrative support to units/dept in the hospital.
Maintains an effective and an open line of communication.
Participates in medical policy formulation and decision making.
Maintains protocols/SOPs for all processes within the areas of responsibility.
Participate as member in various committees as required.
Assists in evaluating the quality and appropriateness of medical care, including documentation and makes appropriate changes in medical care delivery and overall organization of the unit
Conducts daily round to ensure customer satisfaction, resolve service/quality issues
Provides written performance report at regular intervals for departments assigned
Ensure smooth movement of all patient activities
Closely co-ordinate with other departments to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
Clinical Risk & Safety Management
Ensures compliance of department and hospital policies and procedures
Directs and facilitates continuous quality improvement initiatives and activities and contributes proactively ideas and action plans for quality improvement
Facilitates and reviews with staff the hospital incidence reports and ensures action plans are implemented to prevent recurrences.
