About the Role: Hardware Engineer- Mobile battery, Mobile Chargers, USB Cable 1.Experience of designing and functioning of battery, charging circuit & SMPS design. Should have a clear understanding of AC-DC Converters, DC-DC Converters, Li-Ion Battery Packs & Charging, requirements for mobile handsets. 2. Experience in design over-charging protection circuits for different Li-ion and Li Polymer batteries used in mobile industry. Layout and design experience preferred. 3. Experience in design of Fast-charging circuits for Power-banks & mobile chargers, selection of normal & fast charging batteries from the vendors and qualification of the same. 4. Experience of USB based charging circuit design for different Lithium batteries, detailed testing and battery performance evaluation & profiling. 5. Knowledge of different testing of battery for charging and discharging with different profiles and evaluation of different techniques to improve charging time and battery life cycles. 6. Experience with battery module configuration to make battery packs for various applications such as Power-Bank, Solar, UPS, etc. 7. Knowledge on validation of charging cable as per charging current capacity and reliability standards of strength. 8. Closely work with battery manufacturer for enhancing product quality from product design aspects. 9. Work closely with other engineers in the department to ensure that the overall HW circuit design index implements on schedule and meets the requirements of reliability and consistency Desired Skills and Competencies: a. Working experience on following battery types: Li-ion, Li-Polymer, NiMH, NiCd b. Deep understanding of battery memory issues, AC-DC Converters, DC-DC Converters, Li-Ion Battery Packs & Charging, requirements for mobile handsets. c. Hands on experience with different profiles of charging and discharging of normal and fast charging batteries used in mobile handsets. Experience on Dashing charging & battery OVP circuit design preferred. d. Experience of AC-DC charger designing and debugging of different capacity chargers for normal and fast charging profiles.
