Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

To HR Business Partner senior business leaders, acting as a direct strategic enabler for a large chunk of strategic business units within the Tech services organization
To lead the implementation and development of the overall people strategy for the respective business units ensuring the HR team delivers commercial, add value HR solutions that are truly aligned to the overall Tech cluster business strategy
Play a leadership role across the Technology functions and BTCI site in terms of overall colleague engagement ( EOS, Engagement & GRVP) , People strategy and provide on-going HR support to other areas in consultation with COEs, as required
Support BTCI HR Head to manage the HR function directly / in-directly including seamless delivery of all specialist functions toward BTCI Tech clusters
To provide strategic insight and challenge to their business to ensure high performance is achieved within their business unit share best practices with other wider HR team, including other HRBPs
To support and lead projects across BTCI organization on behalf of BTCI Head of HR

To provide expert advice and guidance across the function and business units, effectively driving best practice and continuous improvement

Strategic Partnership

Develop and build strong influential relationships across the senior management teams in order to deliver add value, commercial HR solutions in line with the overall people & business Strategy.
Work in partnership with the leadership teams in the development and improvement of colleague, team and function performance in line with the HR priorities and the business change agenda
To coach and challenge business leaders on all aspects of people strategy and HR related issues to raise the bar on performance across the function and a highly engaged workforce, translate strategy in workable processes & initiatives that deliver against the priorities, align and leverage interventions like Culture, Talent & Colleague on-boarding experience
To drive business engagement and implementation across all areas of the HR agenda, spearhead all HR initiatives & change projects ensuring Key stakeholder management locally & globally
Contribute in the development and delivery of India HR Strategy and give productive feedback to BTCI HR Head on business expectations and impact of HR interventions and policies
Participate in the development of business strategies and ensure these are translated into practical and prioritised HR strategies that fit local needs. Identify business requirements and obtain timely intervention from other HR specialist areas

Business Management

Lead strategic workforce optimization initiatives and any associated change projects in order to actively increase revenue and business performance
Champion talent management, Culture and other key HR projects to ensure a cohesive approach across BTCI from acquisition to talent development to key employee retention.
Ensuring that all key HR operational processes are delivered successfully to the business including PD, pay round, recruitment and all other cyclical activity

Mentoring Teams

To ensure appropriate support at all times within the HR team ensuring that we transfer knowledge and promote best practices at all times
To matrix manage shared resources to ensure high service delivery and add value HR solutions
To indirectly support their business units on the People strategy acting as a trusted advisor, coach and enabler
To actively support the development of leadership capability across the business units
Provide clarity, direction and coaching to the Generalist team. Provide advice and coaching to Functional, Business Line Directors and Country Managers, ensuring that HR issues are resolved and HR solutions are owned and effectively implemented

Determine/Diagnose and Deliver solutions

To identify HR solutions that directly impact on business performance over the medium to long term
To design and develop initiatives to address the requirements of the team or business unit
Ultimate responsibility for the delivery of the HR processes ensuring continuous performance and process improvement in consultation with respective COEs
Development and leadership of transformational HR projects that add value over the medium to long term
Partner effectively with global colleagues and act as a trusted advisor and represent BTCI in consultation with BTCI HR Head on various people forums globally
Ensure appropriate learning and development solutions provided in consultation with learning. Action Planning/Implementation of all the Identified Areas as per approved plan and timelines.

Employee Engagement

Ensuring timely completion of various colleague engagement forums, partner with BTCI COO Head to provide appropriate support to drive central networking groups and represent HR on various on-going engagement forums internally.
Strategic focus to increase retention & controlling attrition by producing necessary reports under Analytics work stream
Action planning/implementation of all the Identified areas as per approved plan and timelines
Ensure appropriate learning and development solutions are advised to various businesses periodically

Training Learning & development

Contribute in developing learning strategy in consultation with BTCI HR Head and ensuring that interventions support the business strategy. Work with LL&T team in strengthening the talent pipeline within BTCI
Support BTCI LL&T team in building capability, streamlining design and delivery processes and ensuring consistency
Support awareness initiatives of learning across BTCI

Risk, Governance & HR representation

Take accountability for partnering with business leaders in maintaining and monitoring the Group Standard for People risk within the business area, identifying potential breaches in standards and initiating action to address these in consultation with HRBP team, working closely with HRS team to ensure seamless delivery
Represent BTCI HR team on various Business & HR forums, i.e. Opsco, Global HRBP & Risk awareness meetings being conducted by BTCI teams

Management Information System

Ensure all data is accurate and processes documented, publish HR dashboards, attrition, diversity and any other on-going corporate MIS for BTCI on an on-going basis

Measure and Evaluate

Delegate tasks and initiatives to the HR team and oversee the quality of service and delivery and ensure solutions are fit for business requirements
Continuous review of operating procedures to ensure efficiency, speed of delivery and impact on business performance
Demonstrate awareness of risk and control measures and effective monitoring and mitigation of potential risk events with the broader set of HR teams

Requirements & Person Specification

ompetence, expertise & Knowledge

Experience and knowledge of all aspects of HR including ER, Resourcing, Talent Management and Reward
Demonstrable experience of successfully managing, implementing, and embedding organisational and cultural change
Demonstrable business partnering experience with senior management/leadership teams and a proven track record of successfully influencing to achieve results
Demonstrable experience of delivering of robust, commercial HR solutions across a large complex environment/business
The ability to develop and manage effective relationships across a diverse group and demonstrate and deliver on-going consulting capability across multiple stakeholders
Experience of coaching and developing individuals, teams, functions to higher performance
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal including experience of presenting and influencing senior management population
Project management and planning skills including experience of resource and budget management
Commercial drive and acumen including sound knowledge of the economy, market and external trends affecting the business
Able to effectively manage a high volume workload autonomously


Good awareness of the external environment and leading edge people practices and approaches. Highly developed communication and influencing skills
Proven ability to establish credibility with business managers, building working relationships that enable line managers
Good knowledge and ability to apply organisational and job design principles to business operations to maximise structural efficiency through on-going global change projects
A broad understanding of the organisations business strategy and proactive Business Partner approach to delivering HR services. Well-developed understanding of the measurement and evaluation of HR activities, with a focus on responding positively to a constantly changing environment to ensure that HR provides an efficient and effective service to its customers
