Job Description

Qualification: BE
PG in material management

Experience: 7 to 12 years

Job Profile:
• Responsible to operate across various specialist areas within group for procurement of items for Infrastructure, Real Estate, Chocolate Manufacturing, Hospitality and others.
• Overall responsible for yearly procurement spend of more than 100 Crs.
• Will be responsible for the approval of all major procurement activities and the development and implementation of strategic procurement plans.

• Technical Assessment & Commercial Negotiation
• Plan and monitor smooth flow of material
• Material management and coordinate with site team
• Material quality
• Stock Audit
• Proficient in SAP - MM Module
• Day to day management of the procurement team
• Reviewing and implementing the procurement strategy
• Developing systems of control, policies and procedures relating to procurement
• Liaising with relevant staff to ensure policies and procedures are followed
• Reviewing existing contracts and identifying opportunities for improved value for money
• Ensuring that legislative requirements are understood and incorporated into controls, policies and procedures
• Forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels
• Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality;
• Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers
• Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them
• Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided
• Processing payments and invoices
• Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities
• Developing an organization purchasing strategy;
• Producing reports and statistics using SAP System;
• Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors
• Reviewing service areas and potential supplier rationalization
• Providing guidance to relevant staff in all procurement matters
